This is not so much a suggestion as a heads up, as I am sure some of you may be aware prison architect got in a bit of "trouble" about a month ago because of their usage of the red cross in their game. Rimworld currently uses a red cross for all it's medicine, it might be a good idea to change this so you aren't breaking the geneva convention.

You can read more about it here,

or a video summary if you prefer,

Or simply break the cross with little gaps so its not actually a cross but looks enough like one.

If I understand the article correctly, the main issue was that they broke British law and not so much the Geneva convention. Since Ludeon isn't registered in the UK (I assume) I doubt any problems would come of this.

Sharp

Or you could use the Rod of Asclepius (or the incorrect but commonly used Caduceus)

Wait until you get a nastygram, pass it around for free publicity on gaming sites and then do the bare minimum required to comply.

Challenge mode: just switch the white and red and do it again when Switzerland comes calling.

The only thing that video produces is rage.

Quake trivially solved the issue by making it white cross on red background. Looks very much the same, but different enough that you can't disguise yourself as a member of red cross and rob a bank or worse.

Since it is likely that the Red Cross will take issue with the current medicine labels at some point, how about this suggestion for art changes...

Glitterworld - blue cross on white
Medicine - green cross on white
Herbal - bundle of green herbs in red wrapper

"Healing" symbol over creature/pawn - green cross

We can't use red hearts to represent healing because that icon is already in use for relationships. A red "+1" would be permitted. Green crosses might be suitable but would need to be checked for visibility on terrain.

I get that herbal looks the way it does for consistency but it really should just be a bundle of roots... it's "healroot" right?

What can they say ? Was it ever specified which part of the Xerigium Plant was used :-D
Maxim 1   : Pillage, then burn
Maxim 37 : There is no overkill. There is only open fire and reload.
Rule 34 of Rimworld :There is a mod for that.
