Anyone encountered this bug? When it rains the soil becomes wet sand rather than wet soil and remains sand thereafter, preventing building/growing on much of the map. Applied scores of mods to the base b18 game so no idea if it's a mod causing it or not. Didn't change anything this week when it started happening though, so maybe it's biome related (temperate forest/mountainous). Previously started with Redwood forest biome, which wasn't a problem. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for not much info's.
A modlist, or a shared log link (which include the modlist too) would be very helpful if you report anything totaly unspecify.

Ok not many mod can turn into wet something, then it should be the weather mod.
You should at last be sure to have the latest version of this mod, and of all other mods.
If that don't help, post you problems at last at the thread of the weather too, and maybe disable it until the problem get fixed.

@ Lasarian - I've deleted the post you made about this in bugs. Please don't make two bug threads about the same bug. I've kept this one because it is in the mod bugs forum, and your description indicates the problem is pretty much as guaranteed as it gets to being mod related. "Applied scores of mods to the base b18 game..." was a significant indicator as well.

And as Canute says, you will need to supply more info if you want others to help you with this. Not least starting with a mod list. But ultimately, there's a fair chance you will need to troubleshoot this problem yourself by a process of elimination (ie. removing mods one by one, or in small batches, until the problem goes away. You can use the dev tools to force rain).

You know, it's possible to ask the OP for more information without being rude....

@Lasarian:  Sounds like you've got both Seasonal Weather and Nature's Pretty Sweet active; if that is the case, the problem might be related to some unexpected interaction between them.  Rudeness aside, it will be easier for people to help if they know more about your mod list and can see the logs.  You could also (if you haven't yet) check on the mod pages on Steam/Github etc. to see if it's a known issue or has been answered by the mod author once you've figured out the culprit(s).

Just in case you don't know where to find things (not trying to be patronising here, so just ignore if you know all this already):

-The mod list can be found (in words, not unhelpful numbers) in the save data file; it lists the mods by number and then follows that with listing them by name.
-The debug log has buttons to post it up on Github and copy/paste a link to it.
-The output log is found in the folder with the path C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/RimWorld/RimWorldWin_Data (well, that's where mine is...)
