I recently got interested into Rimworld and its mods.

But i noticed there are (strangely) multiple various websites that seem to list mods like Nexus and Steam Workshop and Rim-world and even Ludeon's forums.

Frankly i am not sure why would there be so many separate websites for mods when having them all in one would probably be more practical.

Anyway which website do you consider has the best assortment of mods and their consistent updates?

Steam. Just sort most popular or type in what you're looking for. Most mods worth downloading will be available there. Steam mods update automatically which is good for the most part.  Reddit also has some list of mods but you'd easily find those in steam. There are also mod collections on steam that people post.

The downside of Ludeon is that you'll need to update manually.  Filtering through it sucks.  I'd say the major benefit for Ludeon is that more people show their mods here before an official release if you're willing to test them. So look here if that's your thing.

Not sure why Ludeon doesn't make a more convenient way to browse/post mods.  The forums is a crummy way of doing it since we're dealing with thousands of mods.

steam is only good for those that are steamed, for others, ludeon forum linking to the other locations is the way to go

There arn't any websites that contain's all mods. Because every author doing his own things.
moddb, nexus and such kind only contain minimal of mods, author rarely use them.

The best is you use this forum, goto mod/release subforum and browse throw the topcis.
