Shinzy

just wanted to share couple pics

also I think people go mental bit too easy!
my map looks like something out of zombie film
there's tons of dazed people wandering around aimlessly out there (like zombies) and blood everywhere
and that's just the result of couple fights between passbyers and bandits

also meanwhile top right corner there's huge fight between two rival groups both initially having the idea of besieging me
which also ended the victorious group going insane and then killing off eachother!

the outside of my base looks really really charming these days =P

What I've noticed about sieges is that boomrats and squirrels are your bestest friends of all time for that limited duration. Keep the food sources for the little guys low but enough to support the population, and when the siege turns up they'll eat every packaged meal and leave the raiders starving and insane.

haha, god =P that didn't ever occurred to me you could use them like that
I've sometimes set up large scale flower field to attract the boomrats and squirrels for easy hunting though after they've eaten most of the grass

but I've found the easiest way to deal with sieges to have couple mortars of your own, couple lucky hits and they get the dead ally debuff and if you're even more lucky you cause chainreaction explosion of their mortars

still it makes lots of fun events with how easy it's to get people to give up on life
in this =P the atmosphere is something else!

Could you share close ups of your base layout? I love seeing how other people do their bases.

My late game anti siege is the same. At that point, I am so rich from all the metal and weapons laying about, I call in allies to clean up the psychotic mess after mortar strikes break the enemy.

A couple?

Try 1 mortar for every colonist you own next time, even people like empaths who refuse to fight will still use them.

If you pause and tell them to all shoot at the same time it becomes a giant high-explosive shotgun that can shoot across the map.

It's hilarious.
