Hello, new to the community, my girlfriend punch me because I was playing this game too much.

But there is one thing that bothers me a lot to the gameplay.
This will be good to change the priority of all people on a job in one click.
For example by clicking the job name (mining, transport, repair ..) it becomes priority better than 1 for those who can do the job.

For example a cold snap / radioactive fall / capsule important cargo = everyone to transportation.
I have several new arriving I must quickly end the room = all the world mining.
I have no more energy, I must recreate the cable or solar panels. Or, I should immediately make new wall / turret = all the worlds construction
Same for repair, cooking ...

And when it's over, one click and everything returned to normal.

It's pretty annoying to have to change priority of my people every 5-10 minutes.
It's true that I do not very well manages the priority, but sometimes you just need some immediate thing.
And as when a resident does not finish the task or sub task that is given to it (finish a building A to Z, make a complete cable, produce meals / carve stones) it would be nice.

Thank you for reading, despite my broken English, I hope not to have bored you too much.

Clicking the header of the column and having that change the priority for the whole column on the overview screen...is that what you mean?
Skullywag modded to death.
I'd never met an iterator I liked....until Zhentar saved me.
Why Unity5, WHY do you forsake me?

Yes, that's what he means.

I second this, its very troublesome handling 30 people and clicking the checkbox one by one. T_T hope this gets herd

I'd like this quite a bit, but on one condition, that it acted as an override rather than replacing the priorities I've already set.

IE: one click the column goes green - it's max priority for all it's checked for, second click it goes red - disabled for all, third click it goes back to normal. All without changing the check-boxes/numbers I've set.

Alternative:

1.) Multiple priority-settings.
You can define the prio for one of your smurfes, and save this prio as something like "constructor-regular".
Then you create another prio you call "constructor-after-fight" or so.
Now you can switch between the settings with some clicks.
Also, you could asign such a predefined prio to any other person.

Shouln't be complicated to implement, but extremely powerful.

Thank Drahkon, is exactely what I say (in better).
And I had not thought about stop a job.
But when a raid happens, it's good to stop a job like hunting.

I am happy to see that my idea is not so stupid

You know what, I'm a beginner in coding, I will try to create this mod with a friend (which he almost finished his studies)

PS : for Sempie
What you say is interesting, but I do not see this as an alternative but as a supplement.
It has to be too heavy manages an emergency with this method, for against it'll great to actually have a comprehensive and readable priority management.
For example, time to harvest, time to carve stone, time to make sandwich ....

I keep it aside, it does not seem much harder to do, if I manage to create my idea I'll try to create yours next

Eh, I think this would be unnecessary. There's already manual priorities, usually you'll want them set up already to do what's needed or change them quickly if not, pre-set amounts would only be constantly modified to fit the current situation, which would make them less helpful then worth it for adding them in.

You can restart all jobs my zooming out, box-selecting all of your colonists, and then Draft and Undraft them by pressing R twice.

I'd love to see the temporary priority override thing, though. I sometimes do manual mass-hauling (and hate it) because I don't want to remember what everyone's hauling was set to before changing priority to 1 for everyone.

One thing I feel a lot is how I would love to be able to prioritise tasks in a specific location, rather than letting my colonists choose which things are the most important.

Why not implement both

Quotethis is the game hahahahahahhahahahaahhaahhaahhahahahahahhahahaahahh that is welcome to hell and then i say to hells face i was alredy in hell and then all my guys died they end hahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahha

using crashlanding I once started with 34 colonists, most of them half dead, when winter came they starved, ate each other and then burned everything down, including themselves.

I guess they rediscovered religion.

Have you guys tried my enhanced tabs mod?

It's not able to do 'temporary' priorities, but it does allow for copy/pasting of priorities between pawns, as well as increase/decrease all pawn's priorities in a work type. Additionally, if you want different presets, Wivex did a 'work presets' mod a while back that should be able to fill that void.

BTW, temporary or zone based priorities requires core gameplay changes, while these two mods are basically 'just' UI tweaks. Core gameplay changes are a lot harder to get right ;).
