Pirate raid happened.  Saw they were trying to dig in...  (By the way, kinda bullshit...  at least how fast they always seem to go and they somehow know where to start digging without any knowledge of the base.)

Checked character sheet of miner.  And saw he technically cannot mine.

You thought base breaches were bogus?  Welp, wait until the game cheats to do so.

EDIT:  Fixed slashes in URL.  Slash Dyslexia is annoying some days.

This is hilarious, but I thought I might mention to you that when posting URLs make sure you put the slashes the right way, you have to use forward slash / not backslash \. I had to manually copy the url and replace the slashes for it to work.  Should look like this.

www.bestwithstuff.com/RPGStuff/BullshitMiner.pngYes, but the description was so clear and concise that we didn't really need to see the picture. Which makes this a truly top-quality post! I am really looking forward to more of OP's work.
Steam Workshop destroys modding communities. Don't let your town become a megastore's parking lot!

Whether you wanted to look at the picture or not is irrelevant.  The link was broken so I was pointing it out to him, I enjoy image attachments and he took the time to share the picture so he might want it to work.

I'm not sure it's really a problem-problem, but it's definitely a real bug.

OTOH all pawns have the ability to mine if they really really need to. Something for me to think on. Thanks.

It's one of those "perceived fairness" things.  If they're going to tear through rock like butter, I want to at least see that they have some master-miner leading the charge.  At least, then it make sense.  And game wise, it also gives me an option.  If the sappers are coming, I can at least try to send a sniper out to take out their lead miner before they start digging.  Might not stop them from trying, but it'll buy my troops some time to get ready for the party rolling in.

And even if all pawns have the ability to mine if they really really need to...  If normally, you can't do it all, the backup ability should be absolute garbage in comparison to a pawn who is technically able to.

Britnoth

I think this makes sense. He is not mining for resources: he is combat mining (ie sapping).

Maybe have a different description of 'sapping rock wall' to clarify?  :P

I would call this a glitch,  skill should factor in,  and raiders shouldn't get a free skill pass.  Same applies to incapable of violence raiders,  probably shouldn't exist.  Or we should get ways to break past it
Why to people worry about following their heart? Its lodged in your chest, you won't accidentally leave it behind.

Its bad because reasons, and if you don't know the reasons, you are horrible. You cannot ask what the reasons are or else you doubt it. But the reasons are irrefutable. Logic.

ison

Perhaps we should make sure the pawn can mine when we want to spawn a sapper.

Tynan

Correct. Moved to Mantis because, well, this isn't so harmful as it is. But it is a bug.
