Wow, such realism. Any animal owner will tell you: they are huge distraction anytime you touching some food.

If this was not intended from the start I would be a little disappointed. :3

Some of the crafting work (looking at you stonecutting and component crafting) would really benefit from work to complete being saved in the same way art, tailoring and weapon crafting already are though.

Hard to say whether animals should interrupt jobs like cooking or not.

This is as intended. However, most jobs should be able to continue after this interruption.
