[Mod request] Door Locking

Would somebody please make a mod that adds back in the option to lock doors? It was in vanilla a couple alphas ago and I loved trapping visitors... It was op and I know it, but I liked it. Thanks!  ;D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't forbidding the door the equivalent of locking it?

Nope it forbits colonists to sue the door, but everyone else will sue it
All i do is clutter all around.

Yes, for the colonists. But wild animals and traders will still use it. The main idea behind this is that you have a big open room with some tables, and when traders go to eat in there, you lock the door and eventually they starve to death... Its rather morbid.  :)

I sense the 'funny' language argument is a bit less funny then you two might say it is.

On another note, as in the actual original note, there could be a 'high tech' door, the airlock type door everybody wants. You could require a component to make it, maybe some advanced research table research. You could say it comes with a built in interface or something, allowing exclusive access to colonists. This let's you have a gui of every colonist, like resources for stockpiles n such, where you can select which colonists get permission, if all, or none, or select few.

Would require a hassle of work though, which is why if it did get implemented it would likely be with other ideas that require the same time of systems to make it possible.
Selling broken colonist souls for two thousand gold. Accepting cash or credit.

Locking doors would not help, the visitors detect that they are trapped and dig out. I tried using a wall and other things to keep them in but they would not allow it.

Being able to lock a entire village out of my colony's food storage would be nice, because they just steal my food.

Prisioners and slaves mod has a special door that can restrict access to certain pawns, but it's wip

Alright, blongo here to get the thread back on track.

I would like to see colonists rooms operate like prisoner rooms. Like the whole room would be highlighted and only that colonist who bed is situated in the room can access that stuff.

Since animals and people can mine through walls, i definitely think the game should consider actual locked doors though.
Its kinda OP; if you wall a giant area for farming, Animals just seem to mine their way out which in a way is kinda realistic, but kinda annoying If you built a giant steel wall to keep people out.....  :o
