Can Thrumbos self tame themselves?

I remember it happening once back in A13, but when the other Thrumbo left, the tamed one left too. I also remember it being quite far into that world, probably over six years, and it's never happened again or before.

On the subject of Thrumbos, wanted to share a funny story.

Once upon a time a couple Thrumbos came into my base. I didn't even notice, and accidentaly finished the wall surrounding mu base and sealed them in.

One of them starved, and the other escaped when some raiders broke in. We were pretty rich from then on.
