What the circumstances were: When device is big (for example 3x2) and it is on fire then citizen can't extinguish fire. He is only available to take part next to free space. On screen Gab extinguish 4 sectors, 2 sectors are in fire but he is unable to extinguish fire.

Can't extinguish fire while it burn in corner of building even whet it is one big device.

What happened: Fire burn until destroy device.

What you expected to happen: I want extinguish fire.

Confirmed. That's the comms console. It's tagged as impassible and therefore it can't be walked on. This used to be a problem with the 4x4 solar generator when it was impassable. Firefighters couldn't reach fire at the interior squares - but now they can. IIRC the geothermal generator had the same problem. It's still impassible, but the interior squares simply don't catch fire - a perfect fix.
Seems fair that the comms console gets some similar love, and hopefully not dismissed as a design choice.
For now the best workaround is to place a door (one square in from the corner) to allow access to the back of the console.

frankly, I'd say this is working as intended. Solar panels and other 3x3 or larger buildings were broken in that it would be impossible to put fire out in the middle tiles, that is not the case here - you could just plan your base differently and work around it. Personally I like these restrictions, but yeah sometimes they can be less fortunate.

I see how it's a bit odd, but I'm okay with this as it is. It's a design quirk. I don't think it's a bug. Thanks for reporting.
