So what are you most happy about in the upcoming update? (Explain in comments please!)

New crops! (I always wanted to mix it up a bit with what my colonists were eating!)
17 (11.9%)
Drinking! (After a long day of toiling my colonists deserve a good brew... or twelve...)
41 (28.7%)
Visitor Saving! (I've always felt so bad for leaving my allies out there to die.)
48 (33.6%)
Engravings! (It's such a quirky little system but I think it will be wonderful as the game gets developed.)
14 (9.8%)
Beacon Stockpile! (Why didn't it come sooner?!)
16 (11.2%)
Food Poisoning! (What can I say, I'm a masochist at heart!)
7 (4.9%)

Like the poll says, what is your favorite new addition that's currently on the way?

Personally I'm happy about new crops because I'm a huge Harvest Moon fan and love the idea of my colonists having some variety in diet. Here's to hoping that when/if Tynan adds in fluids and water we see even more detail being added to farming.
Ugh... I have SO MANY MESSES TO CLEAN UP. Oh also I slap people around who work on mods <3

What I am most excited about is better immersion through improved colonist and enemy behavior/AI.

For colonists that would hopefully mean better time management (less interrupted tasks and unnecessary running around).

As for the other factions, more variety in attack styles (and targetting). Like for example  focusing on actually killing (not only incapacitating) colonists. Trying to breach the defenses more intelligently and not (most of the time) running into the same killbox. Stealing resources, etc.

At least aspects of colonist behavior have already been addressed in the change log for A9, so yay for that.

The engravings! the other stuff (as amazing as they are!) seem really plain compared to that one

I would actually say variable weapon quality, ESPECIALLY if it ends up being more than just "shoddy pistol" and "flawless pistol". Would be nice to have variances like higher / lower accuracy, damage, fire rate, ect. I REALLY...hope...that it ends up being like this with lots of room for interesting effects instead of just a linier + / - to all stats.

If it ends up being that way, imagine a shotgun with less range, but higher damage and fire rate...hunters best friend right there.
Why to people worry about following their heart? Its lodged in your chest, you won't accidentally leave it behind.

Its bad because reasons, and if you don't know the reasons, you are horrible. You cannot ask what the reasons are or else you doubt it. But the reasons are irrefutable. Logic.

It would be cool to see invading people trying to go after the resources I have, rather than just trying to murder everyone.

I could see leaving a thousand silver, wood, whatever, out front of my base, and having invaders be happy with that and buggering off. Paying Danegeld might be a nice short-term option.

I'd really like to see more sophistication in the enemy attacks. If they could perhaps take advantage of vulnerable power sources or conduits, especially if they already 'know' that turrets are connected to those sources (perhaps from a previous attack), that would make them seem much more creative. Attackers with advanced weaponry might want to try grenading their way in through multiple walls simultaneously rather than always going through the obvious kill box. In fact, once they see the active guns, why not retreat or try to find another way in?

I hesitate to suggest such things because my brain aches when I try to imagine how I'd code them, but it would be brilliant if pulled off by an AI genius.

All the new features sound great - the one I'm more curious about is the Tale system.

I know it's not a huge thing, but I do look forward to being able to rescue visitors. I always roll my eyes every time one is injured and the best I can say is, "Well, sucks for you."

The change I'm most excited about, the one that is going to massively change the way I play, rhe armor degradation system. It is going to make raider apparel based economies unviable, which should increase the allure of crafting disciplines. I can't wait for it!

No love for the tale system?

With all due respect friend, unless the Tale system will be adding buffs or nerfs to things based on what gets put on them I truly could care less for Tales. I mean yeah it's neat and cool for the first 10-15 times you get to read a new story but unless they actually add something to the gameplay it's something that's going to get stale over a certain period of time.

This.
There are a few things I'd like to know as soon as they happen, without having to monitor every single detail (like, hey, your colonist can't eat anymore because their stomach was destroyed), but the majority of it will just be text taking up space, that will only get a glance from me.
