General Discussion / Animal Mods
February 05, 2018, 06:25:14 PM
Are there any animal mods which allow animals to stay in their pen, but automatically retrieve food if needed? I am tired of cows walking around base, which is causing dirt and is kind of annoying.

General Discussion / Manhunter Pack Overpowered?
February 03, 2018, 12:33:46 PM
I had a manhunter pack on Randy Random spawn in with 40 cats. There were only 10 colonists in my base, 3 could not do violence, and the cats shredded my entire army. Thank goodness I wasn't on permadeath mode. How do you avoid this? I don't want to keep reloading to the last autosave because of a cat army.

I don't want to cure a disease caused by drugs, well, by drugs! Luciferium is probably the worst option since that dog is basically useless, and it just popped out 2 babies so I am fine with killing it.

I have a Yorkshire Terrier, actually a few of them, but I had one who for some reason drank a lot of beer without any warning or consent. Turns out they got massive tolerance for beer, and now have Carcinoma. Is there any way I can cure this disease without a liver transplant?

I am on a minor shortage of steel, and I watched some Rimworld playthrough videos where they would claim to trade with another base. Is it possible to? I mean, I need the steel and components, and how does trading with other fractions work if you are the merchant?

General Discussion / Taming
January 28, 2018, 07:50:41 PM
I tried to tame a Megasloth. I made kibble, which consisted of Hare meat and some haygrass. I tried to do tame the animal with my lvl 10 animal colonist, although it keeps failing, saying there is around a 0.52 chance to tame. Am I doing anything wrong? What should I make sure to do to raise the chance of success?

General Discussion / Re: Caravans

I don't use it because the Assault Rifle does medium damage with medium range and medium accuracy. Basically, I'd rather use the LMG since you could easily gun down raiders.

General Discussion / Caravans

I'm quite new to the game, being my second base already. Despite it only being only my second attempt, I learned quite a lot from my first, since I made through 5-6 winters. Though I still do not get caravans. I'm kind of confused on whether you trade with factions whenever you want, or just during those little scenarios. I'm also kind of confused on how to raid other bases. I'm kind of new, being only 1 winter in on my new base, but I have LMGs. I find those quite useful since you can easily gun down any raider that comes near you with ease, but I am not sure what to bring for raids. I want to try and raid a base, but I don't know when is a stable time to do so, and what supplies and people I need to bring.

Are Sniper Rifles good? I have a good shooter with no injuries that use a bolt-action rifle well. It seems like if you have even one minor injury, your whole shooting accuracy is decreased, which is a pain-in-the-butt for snipers. I also don't like to use the Assault Rifle, but I am planning to. Am I doing anything wrong here?
