i tried to put all my pawns on "1" in the column of farming but they avoid to cut off the diseased corn. I don't know how to set it to max priority except the one in the work tab bar. What can i do please?

Canute

Grow/farming is to harvest full grown crops and sew new one.
The task you are looking for is plant cut.

Boloss31

well silly me sorry for disturbing it's not farming that I had to tick but the name in english i don't know to chop down things, cutting off wood...

Canute

Well, the stupid thing is that chopping off diseased crops should be placed under "Growing" job, not actually "Cutting plants". Because as it is now you need to manually neat pick every single one of these cells for pawns to chop and even more in the process as disease spread while pawns do their job.

That is if you want to save normal food to continue its growth, as there is another solution: to burn it to the ground and just plant anew.

It's not. Because it is a manually set job to cut those plants, it falls under the "Cut" job, like Canute mentioned.

I've found that if you cut them immediately, very few spread to other plants. Set Cut to 1 for a couple people, set a quick new temporary zone and assign them to that zone. It will be done very quickly.

Yes it is! By your logic harvesting ripe crop should also be placed under "cutting" job (I would actually quite appreciate this approach), but instead it's placed under "growing" job. Whereas the only thing there is to do with blight is chop it off, not wait while it ripes and turns into some plant monsters that would assault your base. So why I should go through all the hassle by manually selecting blight to be cut? Where is the logic? It should be cut automatically first things first by gardening pawns.

My point is not about how much blight spread while being fought and not even about quickness of the job. My point is about my manual input I had to provide the game for appropriate results. Lets see. I have a big colony and I like to grow crops myself, not buying it from market. Assuming I have a field like 25 x 30 cells and a third got a blight. So I have to pause the game and spend 15 minutes to select all the quarter of thousand random scattered cells to be cut. Well, maybe a little faster, say 10 minutes. But all the same, it is the QUARTER OF FRICKING THOUSAND cells!!! Did I miss something? Like mass selecting blight by cutting tool from the "Orders" menu of "Architect" tab? Last time I checked it didn't work.

I wasn't using any logic, I was just stating how the game works. I do see your argument that you were saying it "should be" part of the growing job. And I suppose that wouldn't be a bad change at all.

I'm with you on this part. That is why I use the mod: "Allow Tool" ( https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=17218.0 ). This gives a menu item to either cut all blighted on map, or a drag-able tool to quickly swipe an area and select all the blighted plants for cutting.
