I didn't even realize the conflict before I started playing and didn't know what was bugging this guy.

I didn't think there was a debuff from going outside, thought it was just a trait that let you not worry about needing to get them outside every now and then. Well that and they also don't mind the dark, but again I didn't think there was a debuff from the light.

If I am wrong about that, I suppose you could rush to indoor farming. Whether that is just a greenhouse or full on hydroponics.

All this stone, protecting, quiet, peaceful, and then a room filled with little growing green things, so happy to see me, it's so lovely, no one to bother me, and yet these delightful plants!

(And then, of course, bugs, death, blood, etc, but for the moment at least, delight)
