is there any one intrested in makeing a mod mannager like the nexus, or the xcom2 mod manger.

Canute

You maybe forget the Nexus mod manager only works with mod's on Nexus.
If you want create such a manager you need to add a plattform like nexus, and you need to motify the modder to put their mods there too.

Maybe you discover a way to get workshop mods without account, then you can help fluffy to add that feature to his mod manager.

Smexy_Vampire

there is an xcom mod manager that alows you to edit and reorder the mods outside of the game . all i want it to do is be able to see the steam downloaded mods you have and your local mod folder

Canute

I can't say how the Mod Manager from fluffy work with steam mods, since i don't got steam.
But did you tried out that mod so far ?

not an ingame one like we allredy have. a separate exe much like this https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/comments/64mucq/alternative_mod_launcher_now_a_community_project/

Forkbomb

You can pull steam workshop mods anonymously through the steamcmd CLI afaik

Smexy_Vampire

in game huge mod lists even when mods inactive eats ram. im rather unable to set up mods with out haveing 16 gigs of ram

Canute

Did you download the whole workshop ?
With the old 32 bit client (B18) and the 3.2 GB limit of it, you could run 100-150 mods depend on the mods on mapsize.

Smexy_Vampire

ya i have a huge list but its not like im activateing them all at the same time so i dont know why its maxing the ram out on the mod list alone. hence why i kinda want an exturnal one.

Canute

That would be a good question for the Devs i guess.

Smexy_Vampire

im takeing it no one is going to try and do this ?

Canute

An external mod manager ?
I wouldn't count on it.

This would be very useful. Currently any time I want to add a mod it's like 6 minutes to load rimworld, then another 6 to reload it.
