I noticed this happening too. Saving and reloading fixed the issue at least temporarily.
I had been playing a few days without the EdB UI mod and had no issues and this started just after adding the mod. So it may or may not be due to the mod, but it did seem that way to me.

Yes because it was a bug that got fixed.

it's not clear who you are replying to; i'll assume its me.  Honestly, I wish this bug was fixed but at least restarting the game clears it.

Whoops sorry, I wasn't clear. No I was addressing HaveFun.

Yes because it was a bug that got fixed.

Not sure how it was fixed, since I haven't seen a new hotfix since this weekend when the bug happened in my game.

I only noticed it once and when I cleared the "smooth floor" I was able to start to prioritize putting things in the stockpile again.  I mostly just figured it was the same as trying to assign two pawns to the same task and you get the, that task reserved message. Basically, you can't put something on that tile while we have a open task waiting to be done on that tile.

Hmm okay, well I just started a new game and put a zone with the task of smoothing the floor underneath it. And prioritizing hauling worked as seen here.

Originally the bug was found here and fixed after 0.10.779, which means Alpha 10b already didn't contain this bug anymore.

So if you found it after 10b it's still an interesting find. :)

Edit: sorry again this one is referring to HaveFun's bug.

Well, I only recently purchased the game, my first version was 10c.

I am not saying it happens every time and I don't make a habit of micro-ing every item to be hauled by right clicking it. I just know that I have had it happen and it happened after the 10f fix.

If I have it happen again I will try and document it.

Also, do you know if any of your pawns had been given the task to work all the tiles? It may be that if you only have a few open tiles in a stockpile and a pawn is assigned to smooth that area, the tile will be marked as busy (or something) and then if you ask a pawn to priority haul to the stockpile, is when the issue happens.

That would likely be rare to click at that exact moment, so that is why I only mentioned it after I saw someone had a similar issue.

LOL! Neat description there, you are right and I managed to reproduce it.

If every place on a zone has not only a blueprint (be it floors or smoothing) but is also being worked on by a colonist, the item you want to be hauled cannot be prioritized.
I managed to get a nice and self explanatory screenshot.

I'm not sure if this counts as bug though, but a mod should definitely move this thread to bugs anyway, please.

Edit: Bug has been reported.

I had this bug today and another yesterday. Yesterday i wanna fill the hooper but all my meat was bugged and i cannot haul them. I fixed it by removing stockpile. Today i had a bug that don't allow me to haul steel manually. There was a message "no empty places" or "XXX Colonist using it" (even when i had a lot of steel packs).

Sorry for my english, but i'm tired.

I keep having this problem with decomposed remains. My colonists, for some unknown reason, never cooked 3 squirrels, and when only skeletons were left, I couldnt get them to get rid of them. Eventually I had to create a dumping stockpile only for rotten corpses and set it as critical. The same thing happened when one of my colonists died, they wouldnt cremate the body. Eventually I had to build a grave and set it to critical. Apparently that is the only solution. I dont think this has really been patched though because this happened like 2 days ago.

since you had a crematorium, go to bills, and be sure burn colonist corpse is set on. It is an option to burn.

Also, make a bill to burn animal corpses, and set the quality slider to 0 to 97% and all your rotten, skeleton animal corpses will be burnt. leave the quality slider at 100% and your animals you want to butcher for meat will be burnt.
