[A16] Iron Dan: The Storyteller Mod

Iron Dan, the storyteller mod, is now available here too :3


This mod adds a new storyteller to the game. Iron Dan is a storyteller that has a good amount of traders and events, and is difficult enough to be fun but won't (usually) overwhelm you. Events should happen at an average rate of 6 per week. Some weeks may have none though, while some will have some every day (this storyteller is a little like Randy Random in that events are very random at times, but this should make them more consistent).

This storyteller also allows for up to 100 people in your settlements.

Been running my trade console for an ingame year now and not a single trade ship has come.
Other AI storytellers (even from mods dont have this issue).
Can this be a mistake in the events? Or is this on purpose?
Or might there even be some conflict with other mods?
I'm running 136 mods without conflict so it my be my fault XD

It wasn't intended to be like that, but I've had the same problem before, thought I fixed it but might still be playing up. Sorry man I'm not that good at this xD I just kinda made it the best I could to fit what I wanted from a storyteller. Ill have another look though

Hey, looks pretty good. Is the trade ship issue resolved? I'm sure it's little more than a tweak anyway

I've been playing Iron Dan story teller almost every game for the past few months, and the trade ships show up for me. Sometimes there will even be two trade ships in orbit at the same time.

I also have a trade-ship mod that is an orbital bombardment laser for hire, and it shows up from time to time. Really expensive to purchase a round of artillery support though.

Not sure if this is beneficial but I have had the issue with trade ships in previous runs using this and once I forced through a caravan through request it seemed to correct whatever it was and I regularly received both ships and caravans after.  Not sure if this is the RNG element of the game or not but thought worth mentioning as I was using Dan

I didn't make it that way, and other people have reported this. This is either a mechanic in the game itself or just me being a noob at modding, im still looking to fix this in the future
