Buy creative reward after purchase?

Hi,

I picked up RimWorld without knowing much about it, but I absolutely love it.
It's such an amazing game that, had I known, I would've bought the name a character pack.

Would it be possible to add the option to buy this seperately after the fact? I'm using Steam, but I'd be okay purchasing it on a separate site if that's easier.

Thanks!

Hello, and welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately, the option to upgrade to a higher tier game pack is no longer available because it caused too much of an administrative burden. This is what is written on the blog support page regarding this:-

Q - "I want to upgrade my tier of RimWorld."
A – "Sorry, we don't offer this any more, since the admin burden was too high."

And here is a reply from Tynan on this issue during his Reddit AMA on 19th July 2016:-
"We used to do this, but unfortunately it's a huge headache for accounting and just general management. So I'm afraid we don't offer upgrades any more."

So I'm afraid that, as far as I know, the only way to upgrade (probably not the right word to use now) to a higher tier game pack is to purchase the corresponding game pack itself at its usual retail price.

Okay, forget everything I said above, as Tynan has just posted a new blog post, and in it he gives details of how the creative rewards can be purchased separately for Steam users (it's unclear at the moment whether they are also available for DRM-free only users as well. Will update when I find out).
