Ability to have a <type> for power, so i could insted of power conduits have steam pipes that would conduit steam and the device`s would react to what type of power they get. So in example if i have a colony of blood worshiping canibals, i could make a special device that is powered by blood extracted from corpses, insted of batteries i would have blood buckets :D
All i do is clutter all around.

Hexxagon

Great idea!!
Would be really awesome to have that :D

Perfectly plausible? One dude in the tester section has a whole new power net up and running, so the same could easily be done for anything else.
Check out BetterPower+ and all its derivatives by clicking the picture below.

It adds many new methods of power generation and uses for it, as well as other things such as incidents.

So basically declaring a type for power sources, so we could have stuff like electrical, mechanical, mystical, stuff like that? I like. Even if this isn't used extensively in the main game, adding in a tag for this would let people make a ton of conversion mods and stuff. I can imagine a steampunk conversion mod where everything runs off of steam pipes and gears

There was here somwhere a suggestion about the voltage, i did like it thrugh it would complicte the game alot, still having ability to have a nuclear generator that produce a higher voltage like energy_type2 that could power up some heavier machinery or robots thay would be cool.
Now whers my internet cable...
