Hostile Pawns Joining You

You would get hostiles leaving their faction out of fear/wellbeing to offer to join you.

It would give you an option of accepting or declining. The drawback is that if you accept your colonists would be  angry towards your new arrival and fights may break out.

I just think there should be new ways to get colonists apart from falling out of the sky or convincing prisoners.

Thoughts?

I find it interesting.
Maybe I would make more interesting the deal providing to a hostile pawn a dowry in silver, or giving him high skills.
The event could be that the vice-chief/treasurer/marshall of an hostile colony betrays his colony.

I would suggest it works both ways.
If you have unhappy colonist he can turn his back on you and join enemy raiding faction and fight you with them.

Actually there are more ways to get more colonists like buying them from a pirate ship.

I think the idea of hostiles betraying their own factions is pretty neat, but it would be even better if the same could happen to your own colony. This might eventually lead to possibility to command colonists to join another faction and for example turn their turrets off when they are attacked by the player.

There used to be an event where your pawns would go hostile, Tynan removed it.  Lots of people hated it.
