It's possible to have turrets that attack animals
I've searched the forum and found only Vanilla plus with this feature but it is not updated.
The squirrels are killing my whole colony.

It is possible to have turrets attack animals, a mod had this as an option, I'll just dig up the name......Vanilla+, you can see the option on the picture under the "Miscellaneous settings" section.
