We figured that much. That's why we're asking whether there'll be a standalone version.

well, I guess its fine as long as no enemies are getting any benefits from the mod, and the overall gameplay is not being affected (like pawns getting new needs and such).

The main reason that I had for merging the mods is that I think that they can work better and be more interesting as part of a larger mod than they could be separately, specifically the ship interactions

There should not be any advantages to enemies. The only changes should be what you chose to use / interact with. Although now I know the reasoning behind that request I would not be opposed to making a simple mod  that just gives you the ability to remove existing steam vents. Although this would probably be after the official release of this mod, that I wanted to get out over the weekend but didn't get it to where I was happy with it.

Hoping to get around to doing an indepth test of some of the features in this mod but so far shields are as far as I got >.>

Rework of how NanoMaterials are generated.
Fix for Max NanoShield Charge defaulting to 0.
Updating Rimworld Target Version.

At the very least its gonna be compatability issues but I tend to find one extreamly strange bug.
Something causes random items to vanish from the architect menu.  God mode wont show em but the items exist in the place directly menu and whatnot >.> 
Every instance I've had of this points to being a symptom of an underlying major bug that isn't registering for some reason.

Very strange, is it just items from this mod disappearing?

Are they Disappearing and Reappearing within a single play session or only after you restart Rimworld?

Its random mods at random times.
Sometimes i also get issues where load order prevents a random item from being built reguardless how you try it
In the case of the the vanishing items I had half the stuff from glittertech vanish untill I moved it to the top of my load order
The second bug I mentioned a good example is the fermenting barrel would not be buildable unless syrcs blueberries mod was above misc training

Both are cases that are even harder to understand then a 10 job 10 tick error ><

Question for everyone. It looks like most research projects will not technically be needed for the mod as I could do most things without them.
Do you think that a research tab with a corresponding entry of each Ship System Level would still be useful as a place to have more information in a familiar way and an easy to access overview or your progress through the mod?

Or would it better to just simplify it down to the few that area actually needed. And make you go into the main mod dialog for that information?

I use research tree so I dont know what it looks like in the vanilla window

It would also change what you see in research tree.
Do you think having the progress listed there would be helpful? Or just stick to the information you get after contacting the ship?
