ever since i downloaded ideology my rimworld has being messing up alot with mods but i dont think thats the problem tho. whenever i select even 1 mod dosent matter what it is from my subscribed mods from steam, when it reloads it crashes after about 5-10 seconds of loading back in and i get this error message "An error occurred while updating [game title]". when i try to open it again the selected mods are un-selected again and keeps doing it. i did post this on Reddit and they said to delete registry keys from rimworld using the regedit but iv'e never used it before and i don't know what files i should be deleting or how to locate them. i know how to search with regedit i just dont know what file to delete or if rimworld should be pre-uninstalled or not. do i just delete the ludeon studio file or specific files inside it?

Hi,
you should check at first if the vanilla game works fine.
Disable all mods, then check the log window (you need to enable developer mode at the options, then the top left icon).
If you have plenty of mods, it is maybe better to delete the ModConfig.xml at the config folder from the saved data area (same where savegames are) before you start RW.

When you got error's you prolly have some old version files, which are a common problem at steam. Then you should manual delete the rimworld installation folder (not uninstall) and reinstall/repair it.

Then you can reactivate mods, maybe take a look at the 2.link from my signature how to do it at a good way.
