How do you get cloth??

I have been playing the game for a while and it is going really well but i cannot figure out how to get cloth because i want to make carpets for my colonists.

You need to set up a growing field of Cotton for this!
it's not very well pointed out anywhere, so it's easy to miss =P

Yeah, I had the same confusion.  Harvesting cotton yields Cloth, oddly enough...
