We asked, he answered.  A simple feature, the ability to release prisoners.  I've wanted it for a while, if some poor guy crashes nearby and can't be of use, I don't want to execute him or sell him, just easier to heal him and release him.  Tynan added it.  Thanks man, appreciated.

You can do this with a mod. Haplo's collection of mods includes one that allows you to put down medical beds specifically for assisting fallen visitors. Select a colonist then r-click a visitor bed and a menu pops up with options to go pick up the fallen. Colonists will give them full medical aid by default and once they're back on their feet, they'll thank you for the help, giving a small bonus to colony relations and they often leave a something behind like silver I've noticed.

He proved he's a good developer long before this by NOT adding some of the other stuff that's been asked for. But I agree this is a welcome addition.
Skullywag modded to death.
I'd never met an iterator I liked....until Zhentar saved me.
Why Unity5, WHY do you forsake me?

Now if only he could add the ability to alter the save file location... That way I can use my USB to play this at the library without needing to start over every hour.

But I agree on rescuing allies, doing it in a way without straight up imprisoning them would be great.
Why to people worry about following their heart? Its lodged in your chest, you won't accidentally leave it behind.

Its bad because reasons, and if you don't know the reasons, you are horrible. You cannot ask what the reasons are or else you doubt it. But the reasons are irrefutable. Logic.

Curious, but what kind of features were asked that Tynan actually said "No, I won't put that in."

Bigger maps

traveling <- I'm pretty certain I remember him saying "This is a colony sim not a travel sim" or something like that  ;D Also note that my memory cannot be trusted
so you can take that one as a rumour and flat out smearing Ty's image =P (He's a transcended robot so he won't mind but shh! you did not hear this from me)

Aliens!

Oxygen

Those are the things I can recall
Edit: Oh you could add the Z levels too
not really "no I won't do that" but close enough =P

Aw, well there goes my hope for one huge contiguous map. Might have made visiting and travelling friendly colonists a little more plausible when I happen to set up shop on an island in the middle of the seas, out of the way of everyone who's on the mainland when I can see them coming in boats. Or to be able to zoom in on the pirate encampments and see their mess of a colony and the orbital dropships that they apparently use to launch raids with.
