apljee's Simple Mods!

This is going to be a thread that will contain all of my simple mods, as I do more stuff in the future, right now it will only contain one (to a few) mods until I find more stuff that I feel like doing or am capable of doing (example, bone mod). I also may sometimes draw code from Project EONS so if you like what you see and don't hate shameless self-advertising, go ahead and download EONS when it's done.

aplTorches

aplTorches is basically just skullywag's Simple Torches - Temporary Light Source mod, but with my name, textures, and code on it. So, basically it's my own new mod! Needless to say, it adds in a new temporary light source, the torch, that will run out over time, but creates a beautiful setting.  8)

Download: Alpha 9, Version 1.2 Download
Changelog:
Version 1.2:
Lowered the cost of torches from 30 wood logs to 15 wood logs
Changed the altitude level from flooremplacement to waist.
Version 1.1:
Fixed the weird bug where it would appear to have a large campfire flame instead of just a torch texture.
Version 1.0:
Initial Release

------------

Feel free to request some mods below, but keep them simple and doable. If it's not simple and doable, but I like it, I will probably try to do it an utterly fail but atleast I'll try. Thanks for reading. 8)[/code]

Fun fact! My laptop's monitor kindof broke a hinge, so I can't close the screen and occasionally the screen becomes loose and pops out of place. So, I'll upload aplTorches tomorrow, and hopefully have my laptop fixed in the coming days.

Thanks!

I'm looking forward to this... don't keep me waiting.

Download link added for aplTorches. Screenshots will come later today, still attempting to work out a way to fix my laptop.

Beginning work on a mod called "aplCalradia"... it might not be as simple as the other mods. Here's what I plan to add...

- Factions for all of the kingdoms in Calradia
- Weapons for all of the kingdoms in Calradia
- Armour for all of the kingdoms in Calradia

EDIT: While I'm at it, I might as well add looter faction, armour, and weapons. :)

I plan to have it done within a week. :)

I only wish it was as easy to mod M&B:Warband as it is to mod Rimworld. I love that game, but there are a lot of little things that just bug the crap out of me. I would totally make an awesome mod for M&B if they made it more accessible to mod.

Yeah. From what I've looked at it doesn't look too hard to mod but it's different to look at the dirt rather to dig a hole with your hands in it - needless to say, it's fairly harder than it looks. Right now, I'm still trying to remember which faction uses Fighting Picks. (or if I should just give all factions fighting picks, or if I should just give bandits fighting picks). Anyways, I think I've figured out how armies will work.

10-15 first tier troops
5-10 second tier troops
3-5 third tier troops
1-3 fourth tier troops
and if it's there for the faction, 1 5th tier troop

Fighting picks? I don't think that is even in Vanilla M&B...

Fighting picks are for sure in M&B Warband, perhaps not M&B -- I know because I've used them. I'll just include them in the Swadian & Rhodok faction, they seem fitting there.

It is indeed in vanilla according to the Wikia. I just never see them for sale in the shops anywhere. I only have 95 hours in the game so far though, I didn't find out about it until very recently.

I never used them either, nor did I see them in shops - which is why I had no idea which faction to put it under.  :o

I'd say Swadians would be the most likely to use that type of weapon with their infantry. Rhodoks is very weak in their infantry line but what they do have is spearmen so they aren't likely to have a fighting pick.

I guess you're right - I was thinking like you, I mostly somewhere to the south but not directly Sarranid territory. I was thinking Swadian or Rhodok. Thanks. :)

Added to recommended mod! Now I have to test this myself.
