[Mod Request/Suggestion] Useful Thrumbo's

Currently taming a Thrumbo is one of the hardest things to do in Rimworld, and what do you get for it? Nuthin. What I'd like to see is a mod that could allow you to shear Thrumbo's for fur, like muffalos/alpaca's, and make the fur more valuable, or harvest it's horn once a week/season.

Also while updating "A Dog Said" ( Latta's mod with animal surgeries and bionics) I have started to think about your other suggestion and maybe the Horn could be surgically removed/harvested... I will have to look at it but I'm not sure I can. Also i think we need a way to balance it a bit ...

ill keep this mod in mind when i do get one tamed thrumbo at some point.
but yea with the "a dog said" mod added, just think of the carnage a full bionic rimworld "ultralisk" thrumbo could dish out.
i would like to note,try to make thrumbo bionic parts match it normal body part hp value's, or it ends up crippled before you can blink >.<

I've recently been playing around with thrumbos to make them useful as well. I wanted to harvest their ivory. I defined a new substance, called "Thrumbory" (Thrumbo Ivory, get it?) and then have it harvested as a wool type via comp_shearable, just in the same way that the thrumbo wool mod in this thread works. I wanted to create a managed Thrumbo ivory concept, and then use the material as a build substance. It works, but you don't really want to use the current thrumbo horns for that, as the quantities and the like have to be far, far different. So far I've been using the "Woody" substance type, but that doesn't scratch the itch perfectly. What I want is a substance type that is restricted to maybe art and furniture.
