Plain Leather not so plain

I just added the SK hard pack mod and it's a whole new learning curve for Rimworld.  I'm really getting blocked in these games with needing plain leather to make upgraded beds and basic double beds. All the animals to hunt in the biome produce different types of textiles.  Other then waiting for a supplier to show up with some is there no work around? Plain leather seems like a rare leather!
