After game save/load my cook suddenly refuses to do her job.
There's plenty of food lying 5 squares away (4 different types).
I tried to delete the task from kitchen table and add it again, but that didn't work.
Job priority is set to 1, and hauling/cleaning at 3, still she prefers to clean or idle when that job is done.
I have enough power for the kitchen, I even have two colonists with cooking job enabled.
Well it just doesn't work.
By the way, I wanted to attach a savefile, but can't find its location.

In Options you can find a button that opens your savegame folder :)

That she doesn't cook can have different possibilities:
-Did you set 'Do until you have X' and you do have this amount already?
-Is enough food there? The simple meal needs 10 of anything, better food needs 10 meat + 10 plant. (I think)
-Is the interaction point free? Sometimes there are deep flying boulders or magic trees there, preventing the interaction.
-... There is more, but thats all I can think of right now..

The job was set to create an infinite amount.
There's enough food (1000+ potatoes and berries, abt 300 meat, etc)
Of course its free, even cleaned and lit up :D. Also, i tried to construct another kitchen tables elsewhere with no result (yes, I've set up job there too, I'm not an idiot).

I have a lot of gaming and programming experience and curious mind, so I've tried a lot of things before posting here.

This calls for the save file! I am an idiot and really curious one now, too!
I really wanan figure out what's causing that

Did the kitchen work as a prison at any time? If so, you might need to place a sleeping spot there, make it used by colonists and then delete it.

This bug should not be present in the new Alpha, by the way.

I think the save game is necessary at this point or at least some screenshots.

What happens when you take one of your cooking colonists and right click on a cook stove in an attempt to set their temporary priority? The tool tip will sometimes display why the act cannot be carried out. You're definitely trying a "simple meal" with all ingredients enabled, correct?

In windows you need to look under: Computer/c:/users/(yourusername)/Appdata/LocalLow/Ludeon Studios/RimWorld/Saves

Edit: Screenshots are branched out of that same RimWorld folder as well, in case you're wondering. You can take them in-game by pressing F10, I think.
Divergence of Civilization Lead Developer (in this case that's the fancy way of saying "Only Developer")

I click on Bills tab and it is empty. This is vanilla alpha 6 and on Cooking table

There's no tool tip when I do this.

And thanks to Rahjital, I've found what caused the bug.
The room next to a kitchen once hold the prison bed, and then it became a storage room, which held, in particular, all colony's available meat.
But colonists were unable to get that meat for cooking because they thought it's prisoner's food or something.
Constructing a bed there and setting it for colonists solved the problem.

Thank you all for your responses!

Sounds great! You shouldn't see this issue anymore starting with Alpha 6 per Mantis Artifact ID 1064.
