I can't speak for steam and their discussion, but at the forum i am very active.
I saw many criticism and i never notice that any of these got deleted.

QuoteDo players have the right to criticize mods and some behaviors such as copyright theft and bullying?
Don't forget mod's don't belong to Ludeon, they belong to the mod author.
Some mod author like to see criticism and feedback other less.
Some say their mod is their baby and how they like to change the game at their way they like and not how you would like to see their mod at your way you would like.
If you don't like a mod is going, noone prevent you to made your own mod.

It is still free software translation, and the quality is still not guaranteed

Please forgive my Eastern euphemism
The critical rights controversy I'm talking about doesn't happen on STEAM, this forum, or any of the other "or one controlled by Ludeon Staff."

The central question is
"In particular, some people claiming to be authorized by Tynan to manage rimWorld's forums are trying to take away critical rights from Players"
An official forum claiming to be licensed by Tynan (if so) has the right to violate Ludeon Community rules? (Not related to local laws)

Also, because "Some say their mod is their baby". So, is it okay for players to criticize other mods for stealing copyright (in this case, claiming copyright art)? On the one hand it increases the "cost of crime" on the other hand it tells people that "stealing copyright is not right"

Hi, you don't have to apologize for using translation software.

I'm pretty much the most active admin in terms of handling folk these days with the exception of direct staff who take care of bug reports and similar things.

I'll yell/punish people if they go into a thread and act like a jackass. If you have a legit concern with content theft/etc and bring it up in a thread then be sure to report the thread using our report function and I or someone else will take a look at it.

The only time anyone's posts ever go missing or otherwise anymore, as far as I know, is when I wipe bots (we get a good bit of them) or if they were causing unwelcomed problems/trolling and wouldn't stop when warned.

You can also DM me directly if you're having a problem and I'll do my best to take care of it as long as it pertains to either this forum itself or the Steam Workshop to an extent.

Help / Re: Completely Lost in Harmony Patches

Hi Cory what is the "ban" message you're seeing exactly? I'm pretty much the only active forum mod at this point and I haven't handed out a ban in about a year, lol I just delete bot accounts and slap people.

Edit: found the issue, your account got tagged for some reason but I removed it. Will look into why it happened but for now you should be fine. I'm so sorry that happened but know it wasn't because you did anything wrong it seems just this dang old forum script that's painfully... innefficient and buggy.

For those wondering, the survey looks legit just answer it if you want to as this information could technically go to anyone/anywhere because SOME COLLEGE STUDENT didn't think to ask before posting this... :P

That save is deleted, so I cannot produce a specific error line.
When I asked "help on reading red and yellow errors" I thought there would be a post someplace, of someone explaining what each line does, since it's practically computer code. But I guess that's not the case.
So next time I have an error in specific I will bring it here.

Sorry Jo, and just to reiterate: we're not against you at all here we just want to help a fellow warcrime game fan trying to have their fun.

So no

I think you're missing the point in a community that often loves working with one another when someone needs help. You don't know how something works but instead of letting others take the opportunity to help you you'd rather just swat them away. This is one of those cases where you should probably take a deep breath and realize we're not trying to antagonize you we're just curious why you're the first person to act in this way in the history of this forum. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We'd love to help ya friend. You want help on how to debug in general, okay and we'd like to see the code to tell you what you're looking at and how to even begin looking at it.

Can anyone help me with debugging my game. It was playing fine, then a raid happened, and BOOM, a hundred red lines appear every second, affecting all the colonists, lagging the game like crazy.
I've messed that save big time.
Installed a ton of mods mid game.
Turned permadeath on (no idea why I did that).
Saved in this state.
I won't provide any code at all, so don't ask. I don't want anyone to fix it for me. I'm asking for help on how to debug in general. This happened again in the past, and I'd like to know what to do in those cases. I'd generally like to know all about red, and yellow errors if that's possible. How to read those, if that's even possible, or are they random gibberish?
There are also no tutorials I could find about the debug inspector, and I was wondering if that's something a player can use, or is it a developer thing only?
So if anyone has any solid info, I'd appreciate you gimme a reply. Thanks.

I got your report Jo and no I won't be removing the RawCode's comment because you think it's spam.

They're completely right in their response of "good luck" because you're refusing to do some incredibly basic thing that would not only allow you to learn but would allow others to help teach you...

Should take a moment to maybe explain the Subreddit more so I stop getting reports of "OH MY GOD SOMEONE IS POSTING ABOUT RIMWORLD SMUT!?"

:D
#24
Nope. Can I get your Steam profile? Maybe I can look up your ban?
#25
Sorry pal, if you got banned on the Steam side that's between you and Steam support. What username did you go by on Steam if you don't mind me asking?

Mykah Canute was teasing you while trying to be supportive.

Hi Darlathan, there is a pretty good chance that I deleted it personally and there is a strong chance that either the account was or seemed compromised. Typically when this happens I instantly wipe the account as it disables the bot that typically takes over the account from being able to do additional damage. I apologize profusely for this situation.

you clearly know that this wont solve anything.
fuck you, i dont need to respect you if you get to do the slightest shitposting on the website, yet act like the church.

Bigdestyn we aren't able to assist you as you didn't buy your copy of RimWorld from a platform we have sales control over in the way that you're requesting support. I don't know if Valve/Steam support will be able to help you in this circumstance, I'm only trying to assist you based on your request. At this time we can't help you with a refund, but Valve/Steam might be able to.

Respect has nothing to do with the matter, I'm just trying to assist.

As your copy of RimWorld is on Steam you'll need to reach out to Steam/Valve's customer support team. Here is how you can go about that:

Sorry Sling you broke the rules and your punishment still stands as you've yet to show you can be calm or understanding at any point.

We don't make the rules directly, we just enforce them.
