Welcome to the Lord of the Rings expansion pack for RimWorld, the Lord of the Rims.

Mission Statement
This is a series of themed mods inspired by J.R.R. Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Silmarillion books as well as Peter Jackson's films. We aim to expand the RimWorld experience by adding the races of Middle Earth, armor, weapons, shields, wizards, magic, quests, and the various creatures and encounters one would expect to come across in Middle Earth. The original focus will be on the Third Age. This mod exists as a collaboration project between some of the best modders in RimWorld. Anyone can contribute!

*Choose The Third Age or Unlimited for a playthrough, you cannot run both mods at once. The Third Age limits technology, but Unlimited, as the name suggests, does not. The mods are identical, otherwise.

You need the "Giddy-Up" mods for that.

I'm going to give it a try with the mod Rim of Magic since I like heroic fantasy :D

Thank you very much Jecrell!

I have a suggestion too; The Third Age adds iron, but steel still spawns in my maps, wouldn't be better to remove steel too? Because now you have two resources with almost identical stats.

Also I have occasional problems with those ithildin wall lights; sometimes when I place them, my pawns completely deconstruct the wall in order to place that light there. Lastly it happened with hobbit earthen hill walls.

Amazing mod.

Combined with "A Rimworld of Magic" and "Call of Cthulu" (until we get orcs and trolls) makes a different kind of play!

Same here.
It is defintiv a problem with Lord of the Ring Third age mod.
With just the Lord of the Ring's races, it still works.
But once the Third age got added, the transport pod is "empty".

Really hope this continues development, so far the most enjoyable storymod. Any idea when the orcs/goblins will be out? So far battling against star trek races!

On Github they are even at 1.0
But i think they create some error's on startup, because currently i just use Dwarfs,Elf,Hobbits.
