General Discussion / Re: Stop biting my eyes out
March 11, 2020, 09:09:13 AM
There is, in general, way too many limb bites in social fights. I wouldn't mind having _more_ social fights if they resulted in fewer permanent limb-removals. I mean crushing someone's nose in a social fight -- ok, that makes sense -- but biting their fingers off is far, far above a "social fight" and that happens so, so often to me.
I have also suffered from eye-biting in previous versions... You can't bite someone in the eye unless you're much smaller than them. It should be limited to rats and similar beings.

There are cleaning mods for this -- multithreading wouldn't fix it, either.

Think the main rule of thumb is to have a spectacular eating-and-dining-area. If you are concerned about "value" just attack and "don't touch this" the beautiful art you place.

A dessert is something you eat. I was disappointed in not seeing a colony shaped like a doughnut or a cake.

You could group this data in logically structured "tabs" like most other wikis do when there's a lot of information.

Maybe sticky this?
And clearly these aren't spambots, they are Mechanoids looking for weaknesses in humans.

As usual, Kirby23590 does not read past the title of the thread.

It's good I didn't make that point, then, Mr. Strawman.

You might consider a mod that introduces "maintenance"-regimes to component-based devices. That allows you to spend a resource (time) to outright _prevent_ a breakdown, which seems a lot more reasonable than random and arbitrary breakdowns.

That's the "playing peak", not the "purchasing peak". I think it would be a wise decision of Tynan to put the game on sale for Christmas.
* Enough time will have passed that most people who were going to buy RimWorld at full price, either already have, or won't catch it on the sale anyway
* People who bought it full price won't be annoyed since a long time has passed
* A lot of people, probably even on these forums, have pirated the game and appreciate it (thus might pick it up on sale)
* Tynan probably needs cash for Christmas presents or Christmas Whisky/Space Rum/His Psychite Habit.
...personally I bought the game full price on Steam, and have several hundred hours played. I'm sure there would be an influx of players and modders which would benefit everyone.

I don't know what his "purchases vs time" graph looks like, but I imagine it has declined pretty strongly by now, and having a sale with a 30-50% discount would probably put the game in the hands of a lot more players while funnelling money into whatever new project he's up to.

Loss of consciousness I believe. Below a certain threshold you just die. There might be some form of aggregated damage and a stochastic switch as well (for knockdowns).

General Discussion / Re: Luciferium & Chemical Damage

So neither of the two above answers actually answers the person's question...
I'm reasonably confident luciferium treats chemical damage, but I could be wrong.
