A small icon would still be useful. Unless there is a plan for the other half of the colonist panel later that would require it to be empty now.

I am with Keylocke on the hunting. If an animal is targeted for hunting when it is killed the hunter should go pick it up and bring it to storage.

I have found this is really only an issue the first few nights. After you start getting more members of your crew their sleeping shifts will start to distance themselves from one another.

I usually only keep 3 types of guns. For those that I do want to keep I have a small say 3x3/4x4 stockpile for each weapon. When they are filled up or a gun drops that is not one of the 3 types I keep, they are delivered to the launch pad and will be traded for goods. With this set up I never have a massive pile of weapons.

I was thinking it would be nice if in the overview tab had the skill levels for each person in each category within each box. So if I was looking at a list of 10 colonists I could easily pick from the overview my two best cooks to be the only cooks, or have the best three miners assigned to that position.

While this is semi-interesting it seems like a lot of extra programing work for little to no game play change. I find it interesting how many threads seek more realistic “this is how they work in real life” approach to suggestions for a video game where multi-system space flight is a normal occurrence.

I like keeping one in my prison. Saves my cols time and helps fatten up my Christmas goose, or whatever the raider is named this year.

Just a few comments:

1/2/5 â€" Since this is a crash scenario I believe the metal being used for walls is scrap metal not a solid piece of magic steel that they pressed together by hand. If I am correct about metal walls being made of scrap metal it would explain your complaints with 1, 2 and 5 as thin metal is easily melted/burned  and making stone stronger, and making it so a raider could melee through it.
3 â€" If the wires are not properly insulated, which nothing shows they are this may also explain your problems with this one.
7 â€" Agree…
8 â€" 6x6 is the smallest room you can have that isn’t cramped

I never thought about the day night cycle. I think the game would be too slow if they added nights to it. There is already 12 season modes that I think is more important for supplies. A A.I. gripe I have is with a hauling issue. Whenever you set something to be built the area needs to be cleared first and laborers will clear the area, then instead of adding the resources to the construction they take everything back to a stock pile and bring the same goods back to the construction site. Some resources can be hard to obtain since they rely on trading only with random boats which is realistic but with no currency it can be tricky.

In all seriousness, is this a game I should consider getting? It looks interesting enough.

I think that is a question only you can answer. Do you like city sim type games? If so its a pretty polished game with id say less features than most city sims.

This is a staple of any RTS that I can think of and I too think it would be very nice. Even more so in this game where Tynan wants us to form connections with the colonists.
