I just wanna check, if anyone is having issues of bugs events happening too infrequently for this 3.0 version?

50 ??? Most of my colonies don't got more then 12 pawns.

( 9 seconds range 250 dmg 40 = one-hit-kill )

Okay, I saw the part of the fight. Yeah, they are working correctly.

Yes, their weapon is supposed to be OP in damage and range. But they are terrible at defending themselves and had no armor. Which is why they are killed pretty easily.

The seemingly last minute change in direction was because their aim is too poor to even aim straight and close range.

I am so looking forward to fight those guys.

I finally got my new game running.
I feel like the old days .. when the true challenge was getting the game to run at all ..

Rule 34 of Rimworld :There is a mod for that.

A hardcore addon to make bugs attacks more frequent.

In this addition, the Arachnids will be more active in attacking your colony

– Recommended for those players who are looking for a more "Starship Trooper-ish" experience.
– Recommended for those players who are finding the original Arachnid mod not challenging enough.
– Recommended for those players who are really proud of their colony's defense and fortifications.
– Not recommended for noobs.
– Not recommended if you want a more balanced game that blends in well with other mods.

disnof lasted 12-16h ish,

how many points is a warrior ant ( how many ants would attack at 4k point raid )
point = wealth + time + pawns + guns ... or how ever its calculated in 17b+

apparently he got his first attack 1 year into the game. After than he did managed to get more bug attacks, but there are more human raids though - which is correct, based on my settings. The reason for the hardcore edition is for people who want a more intense experience than a mod that is too "blend in".

As I explained in my steam page comment:

"Basically all storyteller split incidents into BigThreat SmallThreat and MiscIncidents.

There is a limit the percentage of all incident will be BigThreats (like Raid, Infestation). The percentage is usually between 10-12% of all incidents. Its more or less the same across all 3 vanilla story tellers.

As a result, despite there are 18 different incidents type in the mod and all my frequency settings : all arachnids attacks are considered as BigThreats in the base game, and will as a result, never spawn more than 8 invasions a year (or 12 every 100 days).

This is way too few attacks for someone who want the real experience that I had designed initially (I previously did not know that the BigThreat limit would mess up the mod's game design)

Thus with this Hardcore AddOn, you will get a much closer experience of what I actually intended: the number of attack triples vs the base mod."

[B18]STARSHIPTROOPERS ARACHNID VER4.1



This is a massive update to the arachnid mod. Finally, we are able to revamp the air attack mechanics and perfect it.

Bugs will no longer drop down in droppods, but instead drop down as themselves. They will also not drop down altogether, but instead drop over a span of time.

Bombardier bugs are also improved, by nerfing their explosion - so that they can be the major inconvenience they are designed to be, instead of being too lethal.
